Flight Experience
Dress for adventure! We recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. It's also a good idea to dress in layers, as temperatures can vary during the flight.
The entire balloon flight experience typically lasts about 3 to 4 hours, this includes pre-flight preparation, the flight itself (usually 1 hour), and post-flight celebrations.
Yes absolutely, you're welcome to bring your camera or phone to capture the breathtaking views during your flight! Just make sure they’re securely stored when not in use to avoid any accidents.
Safety & Requirements
Little ones must be at least 5 years old to join us in the skies.
Safety first! If you're expecting, we require a doctor's note before you fly. If you're unsure, it's always best to consult with your physician before booking.
We will only fly in the calmest of conditions. Flights may be canceled due to strong winds, storms, low visibility, or precipitation. If we need to cancel, we'll do our best to reschedule you to another day or refund your flight.
We’ll confirm your exact meeting time and location the day before your flight, but the plan is to meet about 30 minutes before sunrise. Please be at the meeting location ready to go at the time for you flight. There is a restroom available at the meeting location. If you will be using the facilities at the meeting location please show up with enough time to use the restroom, etc. The early wake-up is worth it—we promise!
Our flights typically last around an hour, but the exact duration depends on available landing sites. As for altitude, we can float anywhere from 500 to 3,000 feet above the ground, offering breathtaking views of the Wasatch Mountains and beyond! We do not guarantee a specific altitude as the winds vary from one flight to the next.
Morning flights provide the calmest winds and most stable conditions, making for a smooth and magical ride. Plus, watching the world come to life beneath you? Absolutely unbeatable!
Passengers must be able to stand for at least 1.5 hours and should wear closed-toe shoes for landing in natural areas. For passengers with mobility issues, we have an FAA-certified 5-point harness chair available for booking in our private and shared flights. Please give us a call to discuss any questions regarding our accessible flights. Accessible flight reservations utilizing our basket chair must be made over the phone so that we are aware and have the chair installed in the basket that morning.
Absolutely!
-Best time to fly: Every season has its magic, but summer and fall are especially stunning.
-Photography tips: Bring a strap for your camera or phone, and capture the changing light as the sun rises.
-Motion sickness: It's rare in ballooning, but if you're prone to it, consider taking precautions. There's no turbulence—just smooth, peaceful floating!
-Champagne toast: It's tradition! After landing, we celebrate with a complimentary champagne toast (or a non-alcoholic option) to mark your adventure in the skies.

Yes! Our pilots are FAA-certified and highly trained professionals. Flying in a hot air balloon requires specific training and a commercial pilot's license—so you’re in great hands!
Not as cold as you might think! The temperature in the balloon is about the same as it is on the ground, and with the sun rising and the burners providing warmth, it actually feels warmer as we fly!
A real treat comes after the flight! Once we land, we celebrate with a history lesson on ballooning and a complimentary champagne or sparkling apple cider toast. We recommend eating a light snack before your flight, as breakfast is not provided.
Believe it or not, many people with a fear of heights feel comfortable in a hot air balloon. There’s no sudden movements or swaying—just smooth, gentle floating. Since you’re not connected to the ground like on a ladder or bridge, it often feels more like standing on a balcony with an incredible view. If you're unsure, we invite you to come watch a balloon take off and see how you feel!
We can accommodate up to 12 passengers in a single balloon and 6 in another. Our private flights offer an exclusive adventure for just your group, and our shared flights can accommodate many separate groups of (new) friends!
No. Hot air ballooning is a humans-only experience. The burners are loud, and the ride may be a little overwhelming for our four-legged friends. For their safety and comfort, we ask that you leave pets at home.
